TS-100-ZD Hybrid

Area of Application

The TS-100-ZD Hybrid is a low energy rockfall hybrid/attenuator fence that has a hinged connection to the base plate and so requires upslope retaining ropes to support the post head.

Hybrid Functionality

Hybrid systems are designed to absorb rockfall impacts in the upper superstructure, reducing the energy as much as possible, before allowing the material to progress downslope to a lower point where maintenance can be carried out more easily.

Rope Guidances

The upper bearing ropes are led through a rope guidance that is integrated on each post head. The guidance is designed to be robust and with no movable parts in order to ensure longevity and zero maintenance.

Integrated Ladder

Each post has an integrated ladder composed of rungs spaced at 50 cm intervals in the webbing of the I-beam. The ladder assists in the installation of the fence as well as routine inspection and maintenance.

High Performance Netting

The primary net material used in this system is called the High Performance Netting. It is a high tensile strength mesh suitable for low energy dynamic impacts which helps limit the elongation of the system. The small mesh opening is also ideal for sites with high frequency events of small debris. It is the same mesh used for slope retention systems.
